Three best journalist articles in Central and Eastern Europe declared

After three months, 10 participating countries and 147 entries, jury selected the best regional articles.

Journalists from Romania, Slovenia and Austria awarded with study trip to London.

The competition demonstrated great interest of media for the topics related to sustainable future.

The widest and most prominent regional journalistic competition - Siemens CEE Press Award 2016, which was attended by media representatives from ten countries of Central and Eastern Europe, is closed with the official award ceremony held in Siemens City in Vienna. Out of 147 entries from all participating countries, Siemens awarded three best journalist articles in the region.

Selected by the votes of the expert jury from each participating country, the winners of Siemens CEE Press Award 2016 are Oraan Marculescu, awarded for the article published in Stiinta si Tehnica, Romania; Nataša Koražija, awarded for the article published in Časnik Finance, Slovenia; and Ulrike Moser-Wegscheider, awarded for the article published in Business Magazin Trend, Austria.

Siemens CEE Press Award 2016 was held in Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Serbia, with the aim to gather media representatives from the region to explore and research the topic - Intelligent infrastructure. By organizing this competition, Siemens wanted to exchange experiences with regional journalists and support them in their quest of finding and examining solutions for sustainable future of our cities.

Regional winners will be awarded a three-day study trip to London and a visit to Crystal, the world's largest exhibition on the future of cities. During the visit to Crystal, Siemens initiative for sustainable cities, awarded media representatives will have the opportunity to explore ways in which we can create a better future for our cities. They will be introduced to the largest exhibition dedicated to urban sustainability, future trends, challenges and solutions.
